FreeCell

Classic FreeCell for one player. All 52 cards deal face up. Use the four free cells to park a card temporarily, build the tableau downward in alternating colors, and send every card home to its foundation.

Your progress is saved in this browser.

How to play

  1. All 52 cards are dealt face up into eight tableau columns, so nothing is hidden and every game can be planned ahead.
  2. Build tableau columns downward in alternating colors, for example a black 6 on a red 7.
  3. Park up to four single cards at a time in the free cells, and move them back when a spot opens up.
  4. Send cards to the four foundations in suit order from ace to king. Double-click a card to send it straight to its foundation.
  5. Undo restores your previous move, and your game is saved in this browser.

Questions

Can every FreeCell game be won?

Nearly all of them can, because every card is visible from the start. Careful planning matters more than luck.

How many cards can I move at once in FreeCell?

You can move a sequence of cards as long as you have enough empty free cells and columns to shuffle them one at a time; the game moves the sequence for you when it is possible.

Is there a FreeCell leaderboard?

Yes. A weekly leaderboard ranks the fewest moves to win under the display name you set. No account is needed.
