Brick Breaker

Keep the ball in play through five different brick layouts. Aim your rebounds as the ball gets faster and the paddle gets narrower. Carry your score and three lives across the run, and try to beat your personal best.

Your personal best is saved in this browser when storage is available. Each visit starts a fresh run.

How to play

  1. Move the mouse or slide a finger across the court to steer the paddle. With the court focused, Left and Right arrow keys also move it.
  2. Choose Launch ball or press Space to launch. Bounce the ball off your paddle to keep it in play. Where it hits the paddle changes its rebound angle.
  3. Clear five levels to win. Higher rows score more: the bottom row is worth 10 points per brick, increasing by 10 per row above it. Choose Next level after each clear; your score and remaining lives carry over.
  4. You start the full run with three lives. Missing the ball costs one life; launch again while lives remain. Losing all three ends the game.
  5. Use Pause or press P to pause. Leaving the browser window pauses a moving ball. Full screen fits the court to your display; Escape exits it.
  6. Each level has a different layout, faster ball and narrower paddle. New game starts again at level one with three lives and zero score. Your personal best stays saved, but the current run resets when you leave or reload. There is no daily mode, public leaderboard or multiplayer.
