Word Fit
Fill a small crossword grid using all eight words in the bank. Match word lengths and crossing letters to find where each one belongs. There are no clues and no timer.

How to play
- Choose a numbered Across or Down slot, then a word with the same number of letters from the word bank. Words read left to right or top to bottom, and each word is used once.
- Crossing letters must agree. A word can fit the current crossings and still belong elsewhere: use Remove word or Undo to backtrack when another slot gets stuck.
- Tap a crossing cell again to switch between Across and Down. Arrow keys move through grid cells; Enter or Space selects a slot. Choose a slot also lists every slot as a button.
- Hint reveals the correct word for the selected empty slot without placing it. Remove conflicting placements if needed. Each revealed slot counts once, and undo does not erase hints used.
- There are eight curated puzzles, each available in its original or transposed orientation. New puzzle chooses a different puzzle and confirms before replacing unfinished progress. Progress, undo history and hints are saved in this browser when storage is available.
- Place all eight words to complete the puzzle, then share your result or start another. Native sharing falls back to copying the result and game link. There is no daily mode or public leaderboard.
Questions
How is Word Fit different from a crossword?
The answers are supplied in a word bank instead of described by clues. Use their lengths and shared letters to work out where they belong.
Does a word that fits have to be correct?
No. A word may match the letters placed so far but block a later crossing. Remove it or use Undo to try another arrangement. Every puzzle has one complete solution.
What does a hint reveal?
Hint shows the correct word for the selected empty slot. It does not place the word or remove conflicts. Each revealed slot counts once, even after undo.
How many Word Fit puzzles are available?
Eight curated grids are available in two orientations. New puzzle chooses a different grid, so words and layouts can repeat as you work through the collection.
