Block Puzzle

Make room on an 8×8 board by fitting block shapes together. Complete a row or column to clear it, and keep going for a higher score. Play at your own pace.

How to play

Drag one of the three pieces onto the board and release to place it, or tap a piece then a square for its top-left corner. Pieces must fit inside the board without overlapping filled squares. Invalid drops leave the board unchanged; drop outside the board or press Escape to cancel.
On a keyboard, select a piece, use the arrow keys to aim, then press Enter or Space to place it. Pieces cannot rotate.
Complete a row or column to clear it. All completed lines clear together, including crossing rows and columns.
Each placed square earns 1 point. Each cleared row or column earns 10 extra points.
Use all three pieces to refill the tray. The game ends when none of the remaining pieces fit anywhere.
Your board and personal best are saved in this browser. New game replaces your board and keeps your best.

Questions

Does Block Puzzle have a timer?

No. You can take as long as you like to plan each placement.

Can you rotate the pieces?

No. Each piece must be placed in the orientation shown in the tray.

How does Block Puzzle scoring work?

Earn 1 point for every square placed and 10 extra for each completed row or column. Completing a row and column with one single-square piece scores 21 points.

Does Block Puzzle have a leaderboard?

This game keeps a personal best in your browser. It does not submit scores to a public leaderboard.
