Can you jump more than once in checkers?
Yes. If your piece lands where it can jump again it must keep going, and the whole chain is one turn. A piece that is crowned mid-chain stops.
A capture can chain. After a jump, if the same piece can jump another enemy piece from where it landed, it must do so. All the jumps together count as a single turn.
How a chain works
- You must continue with the same piece; no other piece may move until the chain ends.
- At each step you can pick any of the jumps that piece has, and you may zig-zag in different directions.
- The chain ends when the piece has no capture left, or when it reaches the far row and is crowned.
Example
A Red piece on c3 with Black pieces on d4 and f6 jumps to e5 and then to g7, removing both, all in one turn. Trindo records it as c3×e5×g7 in the move list.
The choice of whether to start a capture at all is not yours; see whether capturing is mandatory.
