How is Block Puzzle scored?

On this pageExamplesClearing several lines

Each square you place scores 1 point and each cleared row or column adds 10. A single dot that completes a row and a column scores 21.

Every placement is worth the squares in the piece plus a bonus for each line it completes.

  • 1 point for every square of the piece you place.
  • 10 extra points for every row or column completed by that placement.

Examples

  • A five-square line that completes nothing: 5 points.
  • A line of three that completes one row: 3 + 10 = 13 points.
  • A single dot that completes a row and a column at once: 1 + 10 + 10 = 21 points.

A brief on-board cue shows the lines cleared and the full score for the placement. It stays still if reduced motion is on.

Clearing several lines

All the lines completed by one placement count and clear together, including crossing ones: see how simultaneous clears work. Your personal best is saved in this browser, and there is no public leaderboard. The strategy guide has a worked example.
