Across words read left to right and Down words read top to bottom. Nothing runs backward or diagonally, and a word must match its slot’s length exactly.
Every slot has a number and a direction, and its word fills the slot's cells in reading order.
The two directions
- Across: left to right along a row.
- Down: top to bottom along a column.
A cell where an Across and a Down slot meet belongs to both, so the two words must share that letter. Tap a crossing cell again to switch which direction you are filling. Word lengths are listed in the bank, which is the quickest way to find where a word could go (each word is used once).
