Dots and Boxes
Draw a line. Close a box. Go again.
How to play
Dots and Boxes is played on a grid of 6 by 6 dots, which makes 25 boxes. Players take turns drawing one line between two neighbouring dots, horizontally or vertically. Whoever draws the fourth side of a box claims it and must move again. When all 60 lines are drawn, the player who claimed more boxes wins; with 25 boxes there is always a winner.
Click or tap the gap between two dots to draw a line. Arrow keys step through the lines; Enter draws.

Questions
Why do I get another turn in Dots and Boxes?
Closing a box earns a bonus move. Keep drawing lines for as long as each one completes a box; your turn ends on the first line that does not.
Can a game of Dots and Boxes end in a draw?
Not on this board. A 5 by 5 grid has 25 boxes, an odd number, so one player always claims more.
Can I play Dots and Boxes against a computer?
Yes — Play against computer needs no opponent, offers Easy and Normal levels, and supports undo.
