Daily Word

Guess the five-letter word in six tries. Everyone gets the same word, and a new one arrives at midnight UTC. This page needs JavaScript and a connection: each guess is checked on our server, so the answer never appears in the page.

How to play

1. Type any five-letter English word and press Enter.
2. A green tile is the right letter in the right place, a yellow tile is in the word but somewhere else, and a grey tile is not in the word.
3. A repeated letter is marked yellow only as many times as the word still contains it.
4. Solve the word within six guesses. Fewest guesses ranks first on the day’s leaderboard, with ties broken by time.
